Sickies!

WOW......what a night. It started at 1:30am with Dennis and Logan getting hit pretty hard with the stomach flu. Then after being up with both of them all night long, Conner woke up this morning with the same thing. Seriously, this is not really happening?! Needless to say, we are all if our PJ's, doing tons of laundry, and just being sick & very tired.

However, this made it ALL worth it. Conner loves rubbing his head in Logan's stomach, and as you can see, it absolutely cracks Logan up. I SO love it when they play like this together, it is THE best!!

I'm already looking forward to bedtime and it's only noon.......good times ;)

Holidays 2008

I can't believe Christmas has already come and gone....seriously?!?!

Now that Conner "gets" the whole concept of
Christmas, it makes it so much fun. He loved talking about Santa and all the presents that Santa was going to bring him, but ironically he would not come within 50 feet of the man!
We took the boys on the Polar Express Train Ride in Sacramento (very cool), and we tried to get them to sit on Santa's lap before the ride. Conner literally starting shaking, he was sooooo scared. So we pretty much gave up on any cute photo opportunities after that episode! The Polar Express was great, they decorate the whole train very Holiday-ish, and they give everyone hot chocolate & cookies when you board. There are dancers, and the train takes us to the North Pole where we meet up with Santa. It pretty much follows the book, and Conner had a great time. Logan seemed to enjoy himself too, as always, he goes with the flow.
I was so bummed, the ONE photo opportunity I did get with Santa and Conner failed miserably. We were on the train, and Santa stopped to take a picture with Dennis and Conner......I had about 2 seconds (he was pretty busy), and completely cut Conner out of the picture. So please enjoy this pic of Dennis & the big man.....classic ;)

We had Sara, Justin, Kaitlyn, mom and dad over to our house for x-mas eve. A great night full of good food (thanks Sara/Mom!), and fun. I think Conner's favorite gift of the night was a Dirt Devil Vacuum that my sister got him. He is obsessed with Vacuums (does not take after his Dad), so we are training him at an early age ;) !

We drove to Novato on x-mas day and had a lots of fun with the McGuire clan. The boys had a blast playing with the cousins......all 7 of them were there. Conner got tons of CARS goodies and Thomas stuff which are his current obsessions. Logan had a great time too and got TONS of attention (a nice change for him).....! Now I have to stop procrastinating and put away all the presents, clean up after Christmas, and take down decorations. We'll be putting them back up before we know it ;)

Looking forward to a happy and HEALTHY 2009!!!

We had a great Thanksgiving with our family. Dennis and I hosted it, and had a whopping 17 people at our place. It was a day filled with lots of yummy food and fun. Dennis' parents came the night before to help out with the boys, which was huge! Conner was super excited to see them, and pretty much didn't leave grandpa's side. I think he was thrilled to talk to someone else besides me! Conner and Logan had a great time with their cousins Kaitlyn, Ashlinn and Katie. Justin made a celebrity appearance in his CHP car and uniform, which was a major hit for the kids. Conner pretty much worships him, knowing that he drives a 'police car' AND flies in airplane (little does Conner know, he'll never step foot in that puddle jumper...hehehe) !! Justin did get to stay for dinner, which worked out great.

We had a fun and relaxing 4 day weekend, it was SO nice to have Dennis around that long. After we got the house back in order after Thanksgiving, we took a trip to Davis to go to the Arboretum. It was so fun, and Conner had such a good time. He chased ducks, scared lots of chipmunks and frightened many horses......but had a great time doing it! He pretty much ran the entire time, well over an hour. He was worked, to say the least! Then we finished the day with Woodstock's pizza to-go (Chico/Davis memories, minus the 12-pack prior to eating it!).

We finished up the weekend with attempting to take pictures of the boys for our Christmas cards. Let's just say 1292 pictures later.......it was quite the challenge to get them to look and if they even did that at the same time, ask them to smile too! Logan just wanted to crawl and eat grass and Conner wouldn't put his crackers and cheese down (that was our attempt to bribe him to smile!). Needless to say, we may go with individual pics this year ;)
